First off, these are some great photos! It must have been tough locating a good vantage point and then finessing the situation enough to achieve the nice composition in these pictures.
Yea, you would have to be crazy-rich to afford a large rooftop oasis as seen in these images. You’d need to be especially rich to get the dwelling in the 7th photo from the top. I mean what the hell, is that an ENTIRE MODERN CONDO stuck on top of that old stone building? It looks retro-fitted, what the hell is going on there???
These images kindof crack me up though. Its obvious that the owners are very wealthy; from the designer patio furniture to the fully-staffed “help” planting trees and cleaning up in photo number 5. However, despite this, their gorgeous little green islands in the sky still have to share space with noisy/hideous air conditioning units, water towers and such.
Still, I guess when you are there in person it seems like a pretty small sacrifice in exchange for being able to gaze out over the skyline of the greatest city on earth while sipping on your expensive scotch.
Am I the only one who kinda likes it when rich people spend thousands to get a private bit of paradise, closed off to the poor people, and then someone comes and spoils it all by taking photos of the rest of us to stare at?
How much wildlife do they get to see up there, if none them I’ll stay with my feet on the ground here in Wiltshire, England. I fully understand the need to sit and look at greenery under a sky though.
You should try some Google Map views from the sky of Valencia or Barcelona. Lovely swimming pools, gardens and jacuzzis under a blue sky. I wouldn’t mind the last one though ๐
Holy shit!

OMG! These are fantastic! They look like miniature models. Great stuff ๐
Garbage, couple plants on a roof. Where else do NYCers have to build outdoor areas…to enjoy the grey skies, snow, noise and pollution.
California, still the best state/lifestyle/culture/mansions/entertainment/weather
